Short bio
Vladimir S. Snigur M.D. is a psychotherapist, certified TFP therapist, English/Russian translator and interpreter, teacher and supervisor. He graduated from the Moscow Medical Academy, specializing in internal medicine, anesthaesiology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy. He has a private psychotherapy practice in Moscow. His professional interests include personality disorders, dissociative disorders, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and clinical hypnosis.
Dr. Snigur has expertise in interpreting workshops on various therapeutic approaches, including clinical hypnosis, Process Work, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis, schema therapy, interpersonal therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and truth verification. He has worked with many renowned specialists in the field of psychology, such as Dr. Otto Kernberg, Dr. Frank Yeomans, Dr. Jeffrey Zeig, Cliff Lansley, and Dr. Nancy McWilliams, among others. He also provides clinical hypnosis training for healthcare professionals both in Russia and abroad.
Dr. Snigur is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Experts in the Field of Clinical Hypnosis (AEFCH), which is a constituent society of the European Society of Hypnosis. He is also a member of the Russophone Society for TFP and the International Society of TFP.
In addition to his professional experience, Dr. Snigur has got many years of experience in martial arts and meditation techniques, and holds a black belt in Aikido Aikikai.
